However, in some water supply areas where the water consumption varies greatly between day and night, the use of variable frequency constant pressure water supply has brought a great impact on the measurement. My unit has a water supply area, and in 1999, the transformation of frequency conversion and constant pressure water supply was carried out. After the renovation is completed, the water supply unit will reduce the monthly water consumption of the current user by 15,000m3 in the settlement of Rizhao compared with before the renovation. At first, the water supply unit believed that the user's production volume decreased and the water consumption also decreased. However, the same was true in the following months. After constant pressure water supply, it cannot meet the requirements of metering under different flow states. When the flow rate is small, the measurement error is too large, that is to say, the critical flow value of the meter is too large, resulting in a large cumulative flow error. After the cause was found out, the water supply unit conducted a serious comparison and analysis, and finally chose an ultrasonic flowmeter with no pressure head loss and a speed measurement range of 0.01-12m3/h to replace the original vortex flowmeter, which fundamentally corrected the flow rate. (2) The transformation of large pipes and small meters is very difficult to transform by means of shunts. Sometimes we also use the method of replacing the meters with small-caliber meters for transformation. The replacement of the meter diameter needs to be calculated to ensure that the flow and the pressure behind the meter have little influence and do not violate the fire protection requirements.
