The resistor is packaged in a stainless steel tube, which is not in direct contact with the fluid medium, but has good heat transfer performance. One of the shorter ones is the medium temperature sensing element; the other one is the heating element. As the gas flows through the heating element, heat is carried away. The heat removed is proportional to the velocity of the fluid and the density of the fluid. The thermal gas mass flowmeter consists of two temperature sensors. A certain amount of heating power P is applied to one of the sensors. Raise its temperature to the measured value T2. Another sensor measures the gas temperature T1. The mass flow rate of the gas can be determined according to the temperature difference (ΔT2T1) between the heater sensor and the gas and the heating power P.
