The received echo energy is related to the dielectric properties of the material surface. The higher the dielectric constant value ε, the higher the reflectivity, and the higher the echo intensity. When the dielectric constant value ε is low, the material will absorb part of the microwave energy, and the echo intensity is also low. The dust generated by solid materials during the feeding process is much smaller than that of powder materials, and has little effect on the attenuation of radar acoustic signals. According to the material repose angle and surface conditions formed by feeding and unloading, after determining the effective range, a radar level gauge with a rod or horn antenna is used.
