The tuning fork density meter is installed using a plug-in type, making it suitable for use in various scenarios such as pipelines, open tanks and closed tank containers. The vibration frequency that the sensor receives when submerged in the medium directly impacts the fluid density. An integrated temperature sensor additionally provides precise temperature compensation to further improve accuracy. It can be used in a multitude of industries including petrochemicals, brewing, food processing, pharmaceuticals and mineral processing for multi-product pipeline interface detection, monitoring density of mixed mixtures and separator end point monitoring.
Working Principle Of Resonant Tuning Fork Density Meter
The resonant tuning fork densitometer applies the vibration principle to its components, with the tuning fork part sitting in the analyzed liquid. A piezoelectric device within the fork body generates oscillations, which are registered by another piezoelectric device at its other end and amplified through a circuit on top. The density of the liquid is reflected in the flow-induced vibration frequency - when it changes, so does this frequency.
