Currently used flowmeters mostly display volumetric flow, while crude oil quality needs to be measured in oil field production. Crude oil generally has high viscosity and unstable water content. In addition to the normal installation requirements, special attention should be paid to reducing the impact of vibration, because the mass flowmeter works based on the principle of vibration, and external vibration will introduce interference. Methods such as adding fixed piers can be taken to overcome vibration interference. (2) During installation, a basket filter must be installed in front of the liquid mass flowmeter to avoid blockage of the pipeline in the flowmeter. (3) When the instrument is put into use, the instrument must be initialized strictly according to the data in the factory calibration sheet, which is also the prerequisite for ensuring accurate measurement. (4) During the use of the liquid mass flowmeter, it is necessary to carry out accurate zero point calibration under the conditions of use. The focus is on the online calibration of the zero point. Several calibrations have been carried out after the instrument was put into operation. From the results, it can be seen that there is a problem of zero point drift. Although the drift does not affect its actual accuracy, it also causes a certain measurement error. (5) The liquid mass flowmeter has high precision and high price, which requires careful maintenance, such as equipping it with high-quality regulated power supply, signal antimagnetic measures, etc. (6) Prevent artificial power failure and disconnection. The solution is to lock the instrument box, and a special person is responsible for the management; the designer should consider the above problems and include such problems in the design category. (7) Be sure to avoid exceeding the range of the instrument used, which will cause a decrease in the measurement accuracy of the instrument, and in severe cases will cause damage to the instrument.
