Mass flowmeter and electromagnetic flowmeter Instruments that measure fluid flow are collectively referred to as flowmeters or flowmeters, and flowmeters are one of the most important instruments in industrial measurement. With the development of industrial production, the accuracy of flow measurement is required to be higher and higher, and flow measurement technology is changing with each passing day. In order to adapt to various purposes, different types of flowmeters have come out one after another. In the automatic chromatography system configuration, the commonly used flow meters are mass flow meters and electromagnetic flow meters. Mass flowmeter When the fluid flows in the rotating tube, it will generate a force on the tube wall, which was discovered by Coriolis in 1832 when he was studying the turbine, referred to as the Coriolis force. The mass flowmeter is based on the Coriolis force. There are two parallel flow tubes inside the sensor. The drive coil is installed in the middle and the detection coil is installed at both ends. When the excitation voltage provided by the transmitter is applied to the drive coil, the vibrating tube For reciprocating periodic vibration, the fluid medium in the industrial process flows through the vibrating tube of the sensor, which will generate a Coriolis force effect on the vibrating tube, causing the two vibrating tubes to vibrate torsionally, and the detection coils installed at both ends of the vibrating tube will produce a phase difference. Two sets of signals, the phase difference of these two signals is proportional to the mass flow rate of the fluid passing through the sensor. The computer calculates the mass flow through the vibrating tube. When different media flow through the sensor, the main vibration frequency of the vibrating tube is different, and the density of the media is calculated accordingly. The mass flowmeter directly measures the mass flow of the medium passing through the flowmeter, and can also measure the density of the medium and indirectly measure the temperature of the medium. Advantages: It can measure the flow of various solutions, including pure water. Disadvantages: large volume, poor shock resistance, not conducive to direct installation behind the pump (affecting accuracy). Electromagnetic flowmeter Electromagnetic flowmeter is based on the principle that the electric conductor moves in the magnetic field to generate induced electromotive force, and the induced electromotive force is proportional to the flow rate, and the principle of reflecting the pipeline flow is made by measuring the electromotive force. Its measurement accuracy and sensitivity are high, the maximum pipe diameter can be measured up to 2m, and the pressure loss is very small, but the medium with low conductivity cannot be used. Advantages: Small size, good shock resistance, can be installed directly behind the pump. Disadvantage: when the liquid conductivity <5μs/cm will affect the detection accuracy.
In the office, various are considered essential since they are used to achieve particular tasks in the office. Among these , mass flow meter, tuning fork liquid density meter, and rosemount vortex flow meter are widely used.
