Inner cone flowmeter The inner cone flowmeter is a new type of differential pressure flowmeter developed by an American company in the 1980s and brought to the market. Because it uses a conical barrel suspended in the center of the pipe to throttle, it has good wear resistance and has obvious advantages when measuring liquids containing solid particles. Since the fluid flows through the annular gap formed between the inner cone and the pipe wall, there will be no liquid accumulation when measuring wet gas and saturated steam. As the fluid flows through the annular channel formed by the inner cone and the pipe wall, the flow cross-sectional area gradually decreases and the flow velocity increases, so it has a rectification effect, so it is not sensitive to the upstream baffle. Because it must be calibrated one by one on the flow standard device, and the calibration point error can be corrected in the secondary table, the accuracy can be improved. It has obvious advantages in measuring gas-liquid and gas-solid two-phase flow. When the diameter of the instrument is small and the width of the annular channel is narrow, it is recommended to install a filter in front of the inner cone flowmeter to prevent solids with a large diameter from being stuck in the channel and cause a high indication.
