How to choose the measuring point of ultrasonic flowmeter?

The installation of ultrasonic flowmeter is the simplest and most convenient among all flowmeter installations. Just select a suitable measurement point, input the pipeline parameters at the measurement point into the flowmeter, and then fix the probe on the pipeline. In order to ensure the measurement accuracy, when selecting the measurement point, it is required to select a part with a uniform fluid flow field. Generally, the following principles should be followed: 1. Select a pipe section filled with fluid that is uniform, dense, and easy to transmit ultrasonic waves, such as a vertical pipe section (fluid flows upwards) or horizontal pipe segments. 2. The installation distance should be a straight pipe section that is more than 10 times the straight pipe diameter in the upstream and more than 5 times the straight pipe diameter in the downstream without any valves, elbows, variable diameters, etc. The installation point should be far away from valves, pumps, high-voltage electricity and Interference sources such as inverters. 3. Avoid installing on the highest point of the piping system or on a vertical pipe with a free outlet (fluid flows downward). 4. For open or half-filled pipes, the flowmeter should be installed at the U-shaped pipe section. 5. Fully consider For the fouling condition on the inner wall of the pipe, try to choose a pipe section without fouling for measurement. If it is not satisfied, scaling should be considered as lining for better measurement accuracy. 6. Make sure that the temperature and pressure at the measuring point are within the working range of the sensor. 7. The two sensors must be installed in the horizontal direction of the axial surface of the pipe, and installed within ±45o of the horizontal position of the axis, so as to prevent the phenomenon that the upper part is not full of pipes, air bubbles or lower parts have sediment, which will affect the normal measurement of the sensor. If the horizontal and symmetrical installation is not possible due to the space limitation of the installation site, the sensor can be installed vertically or with an inclination under the condition that there is no air bubble in the upper part of the pipe. 8. Choose a pipe section with uniform and dense pipe material, which is easy for ultrasonic transmission.
