Radar Level Meter 1 Composition of Radar Level Meter Radar level meter is mainly composed of antenna, transmitting and receiving device, signal processor, operation panel, display, alarm and other parts. 2 Working principle of radar level gauge (1) PULSE pulse technology This technology is to send a pulse signal by the radar head, and measure the time from sending to receiving the echo. This technique is fundamentally an analog technique. (2) FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continue Wave), frequency modulated continuous wave technology This technology does not measure time. (3) Guided wave radar The guided wave radar level meter uses the TDR principle (the principle of time domain reflection). The TDR generator generates an electromagnetic pulse wave that is transmitted down the guide rod. When the surface of a liquid with a high dielectric constant (air) is present, the pulse wave will be reflected. The ultra-high-speed timing circuit is used to calculate the conduction time of the pulse wave, and the transmission distance of the electromagnetic pulse wave is s=vt, so as to achieve accurate liquid level measurement. 3 Features of radar level gauge (1) Continuous and accurate measurement Radar level gauge is not affected by temperature, pressure and gas, and has no contact with the surface of the medium, and can quickly and accurately measure the level of different media. (2) Safe and energy-saving The radar level gauge can not only measure under high temperature and high pressure, but also is extremely accurate, safe and energy-saving. The transmission power of the radar level gauge is only a few microwatts per square centimeter, so it can be without any restrictions Apply it to various occasions. In practical applications, the radar signal can be completely shielded by the metal outer wall. The materials used in radar level gauges are chemically and mechanically stable, and the materials can be recycled. (3) No maintenance and high reliability The radar wave is not disturbed. Since the components of the radar sensor cannot be disassembled and there is no mechanical wear, the radar level gauge can be used in various occasions.
